Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTReconstruction of hallux soft-tissue defects is essential for the locomotor function. Some regional flaps are available and have to be preferred in case of small defect. Here, we present the case of a patient treated by a cross-toe flap in order to cover an exposed hallux proximal interphalangeal joint, after an open fracture. Reconstruction of a septic femoral triangle fistula with a pedicled DIEP flap: A case report and mini-review
We report a septic rupture of the superficial femoral artery treated with an arterial allograft and covered with a contralateral pedicled Deep Inferior Epigastric Artery Perforator (DIEP) flap. The patient presented favorable outcomes, including optimal healing at 8 months, with no functional limitation. A literature review also discusses alternative pedicled perforator flaps. Restoration of the labial barcode by simultaneous "one shot" injection of botulinum toxin-hyaluronic acid in the same syringe
We present a series of 63 patients with an average age of 67 years with a result deemed positive in 79% of cases. The incidents reported are generally due to excessive doses of botulinum toxin which can lead to the classic incidents of fluid leaks in this location (6%). The expected efficacy of the treatment depends on that of the components used (four to six months) but prolonged results have been regularly observed (up to 18 months). All complementary resurfacing treatments have been discarded here since the aim pursued is that of a natural labial restoration allowing an immediate return to socio-professional activities....
