Home return Assistance Program for Chronic heart failure in-hospitalized patients (PRADO-IC)  : Description, evaluations, perspectives
CONCLUSION: PRADO-IC is the one and the only national transition of care program for IC patients. First evaluations are positive but prospective evaluation studies are needed in order to limit methodologic bias.PMID:37541169 | DOI:10.1016/j.ancard.2023.101630 (Source: Annales de Cardiologie et d'Angeiologie)

Study of arterial pressure levels at consultation in treated hypertensive Algerian patients
CONCLUSION: PACT II has made it possible to update national data relating to hypertension in Algeria. It confirmed the low level of achievement of the BP target, even if the average arterial pressure level obtained was acceptable in 76% patients with a BP level which was lower than 140 mmHg for SBP and less than 90 mmHg for DBP. Many efforts must be made, according to WHO recommendations, to improve the management of hypertensive patients and BP control in Algeria.PMID:37536041 | DOI:10.1016/j.ancard.2023.101631 (Source: Annales de Cardiologie et d'Angeiologie)

Delayed renal infectious aneurysm 3  months after cardiac surgery for a Streptococcus pyogenes infective endocarditis ; case report and literature review
We describe a case of SP native mitral valve IE in a 58-year-old man, presenting with large valve vegetations, abscess and severe regurgitation. Initial CT-angiography showed bilateral kidney and splenic infarcts. He underwent successful emergent bioprosthetic valve replacement. Antibiotic regimen consisted in linezolid and rifampicin for 8 weeks. Three months later, CT-angiography for feet gangrene revealed a 16mm aneurysm of the left intraparenchymal renal artery, which was occluded by coil-embolization. This case shows that an infectious aneurysm may develop several months after antibiotic treatment and emergent valve r...
