Predictors of successful salvage microdissection testicular sperm extraction (mTESE) after failed initial TESE in patients with non ‐obstructive azoospermia: a systematic review and meta‐analysis
Conclusion: We found that age, TV, FSH, LH, HS, SCOS and MA were valuable predictors of salvage mTESE, which will assist andrologists in clinical decision making and minimize unnecessary injury to patients. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved (Source: Andrology)

The genetic spectrum of a Chinese series of patients with 46, XY disorders of sex development
Conclusion: We identified 21 novel RVs of nine genes, which extended the genetic spectrum of 46, XY DSD pathogenic variants. Our study showed that 60% of the patients were caused byAR, SRD5A2 orNR5A1 P/LP variants. Therefore, PCR amplification and Sanger sequencing of these three genes could be performed firstly to identify the pathogeny of the patients. For those patients whose pathogenic variants had not been found, whole-exome sequencing could be helpful in determining the etiology. This article is protected by copyright. Three ‐dimensional analysis of junctions between efferent and epididymal ducts in the human caput epididymis
ConclusionsBy utilizing deep learning, we reconstructed human efferent and caput epididymal ducts and revealed their precise three-dimensional structures, which differed from those of rodents in several aspects. The present results may be useful for analyzing anatomical abnormalities related to some types of male infertility. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved (Source: Andrology)

Spermatozoa cooled to 5 °C one day after collection from porcine commercial semen doses retain sperm functionality with reduced bacterial load
Discussion and conclusionPorcine spermatozoa cooled to 5 °C one day after collection retain functional attributes similar to spermatozoa stored at 17°C, but have a reduced bacterial load. Cooling extended boar semen to 5°C is feasible after transport to avoid modifying semen production. (Source: Andrology)

Effects of obesity ‐related anthropometric indices and body composition on erectile dysfunction mediated by coronary artery disease: A Mendelian randomization study
ConclusionThere is a potential causal relationship between obesity-related anthropometric indicators/body composition and ED. Higher waist circumference, leg fat percentage, and arm fat mass may increase the risk of ED, and CAD partly mediates this overall effect. Understanding the causal relationship between obesity and ED and the mediating role of CAD may provide more information for ED intervention and prevention strategies. This article is protected by copyright. Altered brain activity in diabetic patients with erectile dysfunction revealed by fractional amplitude of low ‐frequency fluctuation: a resting‐state fMRI study
Conclusion: DM-ED patients showed functional changes in brain regions that were closely correlated with sexual dysfunction, which suggested that altered regional brain activity might be related to the pathophysiology of DM-ED.This article is protected by copyright. The human sperm proteome —Toward a panel for male fertility testing
ConclusionOur results shed light on the molecular background of the dysfunctionality of the fewer spermatozoa produced in oligozoospermia and syndromes including it. The male infertility network presented may prove useful in further elucidating the molecular mechanism of male infertility. (Source: Andrology)

Gonadotropin axis and semen quality in young Swiss men after cannabis consumption: Effect of chronicity and modulation by cannabidiol
ConclusionsBecause both CBD and THC are frequently used by men of reproductive age, it is highly relevant to elucidate the potential effects they may have on human reproductive health. This study demonstrates that the mode of cannabis consumption must be considered when evaluating the effect of cannabis on semen quality. This article is protected by copyright. Novel sperm chromatin dispersion test with artificial intelligence ‐aided halo evaluation: A comparison study with existing modalities
ConclusionsThe novel sperm chromatin dispersion kit and artificial intelligence-aided platform demonstrated significant correlation and agreement with existing sperm chromatin dispersion methods by assessing greater number of spermatozoa. This technique has the potential to provide a rapid and accurate assessment of sperm DNA fragmentation without technical expertise or flow cytometry. (Source: Andrology)
