CONCLUSIONS: Using a consensual research method, a list of 15 common indicators was obtained, which may be used by specialised transport teams in our country, and by non-specialised clinics in charge of interhospital paediatric transport. io Multisistémico Pediátrico vinculado a SARS-CoV-2 Abstract A new paediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome, linked to SARS-CoV-2, has been described. The clinical picture is variable and is associated with an active or recent infection due to SARS-CoV-2. A review of the existing literature by a multidisciplinary group of paediatric specialists is presented in this document. Later, they make recommendations on the stabilisation, diagnosis, and treatment of this syndrome. PMID: 33132066 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher] (Source: Anales de Pediatria)

[Evaluation of the suitability and clinical applicability of different electrodes for aEEG/cEEG monitoring in the extremely premature infant].
Abstract INTRODUCTION: Monitoring of brain function using continuous electroencephalography (aEEG/cEEG) is an essential tool in the standard care of the term infant, and its use is growing in the premature infant as a biomarker of lesion and brain maturity. However, the placing of the electrodes is a great challenge, particularly in the extremely premature infant, which often discourages neuromonitoring. The aim of this study is to assess the different electrodes available, to select the one that best suits the peculiarities of the extremely premature infant, and evaluate its applicability in clinical practice. ...

[Management of primary immune thrombocytopenia. A comparison between two historical cohorts].
CONCLUSIONS: Since 2011, there have been changes in the medical care of our primary immune thrombocytopenia patients: they receive lower doses of steroids, they stay fewer days in the hospital, and the number of splenectomies has decreased without increasing bleeding or worsening the clinical evolution. Furthermore, it was observed that age younger than 5years and a history of infection prior to diagnosis were related to higher chances of recovery. Its main disadvantage is its low specificity and elevated number of false positives. The aim of this study is to analyse the differences in immunoreactive trypsin (IRT) between the different groups of newborns (NB) with a positive neonatal screen depending on whether they were healthy, healthy carriers, affected by CF, or CFSPID (Cystic Fibrosis Screen Positive, Inconclusive Diagnosis). [Evolution of the incidence of type 1 diabetes mellitus in the Community of Madrid, 1997-2016].
CONCLUSIONS: The CM is among the regions with a high incidence of DM1. In its first phase, the regional registry underestimated the incidence of DM1, and with the incorporation of the MBDS as a source of information, the estimates for the second period (2014-2016) are possibly closer to the actual incidence of DM1.
