Abstract Toxic epidermal necrolysis is a condition with massive keratinocyte apoptosis, and it is associated with high mortality rates. Fulvestrant, an estrogen receptor antagonist, is indicated in the treatment of estrogen receptor-positive metastatic breast cancer in postmenopausal women. To our knowledge, this is the first described case of toxic epidermal necrolysis due to fulvestrant. Onychocytic matricoma
We report a case of this rare tumor occurring in late childhood and provide a comprehensive review of its clinical presentation and differential diagnosis. Both clinicians and dermatopathologists should be aware of the presentation of onychocytic matricoma and include it in their scope of diagnosis of longitudinal nail bands. Cutaneous collagenous vasculopathy: light and transmission electron microscopy
We report a case of a patient with extensive acquired telangiectasias on the left arm, clinically resembling unilateral nevoid telangiectasia. Dilated blood vessels with thickened walls were observed in the dermis. Immunohistochemistry with collagen IV antibodies revealed marked collagen deposition around the vessels, confirming the diagnosis. Transmission electron microscopy observed duplicate and triplicate vascular basal membrane associated with deposition of amorphous material around the membranes. This study aims to evaluate tissue healing efficacy in burn patients treated with 1% silver sulfadiazine versus other treatments. This is a systematic literature review and meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials performed according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyzes (PRISMA) and PICO strategy, registered in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO) under the number CRD42017081057. The role of GNLY gene polymorphisms in psoriasis pathogenesis
CONCLUSION: Our findings showed that GNLY rs7908 CC genotype and C allele had a protective effect against psoriasis and decreased the disease severity (according to PASI score), whereas rs10180391 SNP did not show any effective role in psoriasis pathogenesis. Psoriasis in obesity: comparison of serum levels of leptin and adiponectin in obese subjects - cases and controls
CONCLUSIONS: The prevalence of obesity among psoriasis cases (33%) was higher than in the general population (17.4%). We did not find any correlation between severity of psoriasis and inflammatory cytokines and the condition of being overweight. The overweight cases had lower values of adiponectin than the overweight controls. Spatial modeling of leprosy in the state of Bahia and its social determinants: a study of health inequities

Knowledge and habits of sun exposure in university students: a cross-sectional study in Southern Brazil
CONCLUSIONS: Young people are unaware of basic information about sun protection and exposure. Even among those with proper knowledge, the use of photoprotective measures is very low. Evaluation of the use of tacrolimus ointment for the prevention of hypertrophic scars in experimental model
CONCLUSIONS: Tacrolimus at the 2 concentrations evaluated reduced the severity of inflammatory changes and positively altered the macroscopic aspect of the scar in the short term. Skin cancer incidence in rural workers at a reference hospital in western Paraná
CONCLUSION: This study is a regional estimation of the incidence of cutaneous neoplasms and provides evidence of a considerable increase in the number of diagnoses in rural workers fro m western Paraná, Brazil.
