Haploidentical transplantation outcomes for secondary acute myeloid leukemia: ALWP of the EBMT study
This study analyzes the outcomes for unmanipulated haploidentical HCT (haploHCT) for sAML using the EBMT aute leukemia working group (ALWP) registry. We identified 154 patients with sAML who underwent haploHCT from 2006‐2016. Median age at HCT was 60 years with time from diagnosis to HCT 5 months. At transplantation, 69 patients were in first CR and 85 had active disease. Fifty‐seven (38.0%) patients underwent MAC conditioning and 97 (62.0%) RIC conditioning. Multivariate analysis showed that there was no difference in RI, NRM, LFS, OS, or GRFS for conditioning intensity, age, performance status, or graft source. Activ...

Bendamustine ‐based conditioning prior to autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT): Results of a French multicenter study of 474 patients from LYmphoma Study Association (LYSA) centers
Abstract Carmustine shortage has led to an increase use of alternative conditioning regimens prior to autologous stem cell transplantation for the treatment of lymphoma, including Bendamustine‐based (BeEAM). The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety of the BeEAM regimen in a large cohort of patients. A total of 474 patients with a median age of 56 years were analyzed. The majority of patients had diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma (43.5%). Bendamustine was administered at a median dose of 197 mg/m2/day (50‐250) on days‐7 and −6. The observed grade 1‐4 toxicities included mucositis (83.5%), gastroenteritis...

First line treatment of aplastic anemia with thymoglobuline in europe and asia: Outcome of 955 patients treated 2001 ‐2012
Abstract The aim of this study was to assess the outcome of patients with aplastic anemia (AA), receiving rabbit anti‐thymocyte globulin (Thymoglobulin, SANOFI) and cyclosporin, as first line treatment. Eligible were 955 patients with AA, treated first line with Thymoglobulin, between 2001 and 2008 (n=492), or between 2009‐2012 (n=463). The median age of the patients was 21 years (range 1‐84). Mortality within 90 days was 5.7% and 2.4%, respectively in the two time periods (p=0.007).The actuarial 10 year survival for the entire population was 70%; transplant free survival was 64%. Predictors of survival in multivaria...
