Angiogenesis in prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia assessed by VEGF and CD-34 IHC: A comparative clinico-pathological study
ConclusionsThe present findings may support the assumption that VEGF and CD34 expression level might have an important role in the prediction of prostate cancer as it was significantly differed with BPH. In addition, VEGF expression level showed intense staining in the tissue samples with higher grading of prostate cancer which reveals its importance as prognostic marker. High (trans) scrotal orchidopexy for palpable undescended testes in children: Influence of age and testicular position
ConclusionIncreasing age of patients and location of testes had no effect on the outcome of high scrotal orchidopexy in terms of successful placement of testes in the scrotum and rate of testicular retraction when compared to the conventional orchidopexy. Primitive neuroectodermal tumor of kidney mimicking as an inflammatory renal mass
ConclusionRenal PNET should be kept in the differentials of a renal SOL presenting in adolescents and young adults. All diagnostic modalities concerning SOL of the kidney must be interpreted with caution in order for the appropriate management. Punctures for cytology can be indicated in select cases. Histopathology, immuno histochemistry supported by cytogenetic studies are required for the exact diagnosis of renal PNET. Multidisciplinary approach consisting of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy is recommended to manage this condition in view of its aggressive nature and poor prognosis.
