In conclusion, our findings support the role of miR-34b-3p as a tumor suppressor in CC. SirT7-mediated transcription of fascin in hyperglycemic glomerular endothelial cells contributes to EndMT in diabetic nephropathy
In this study, we speculate that SirT7 modulates fascin transcription and is thus involved in EndMT in hyperglycemic glomerular endothelial cells. Our data indicate that α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) and fascin levels are increased, while CD31 levels are decreased in the kidneys of DN rats. Consistently, our cellular experiments reveal that high glucose treatment elevates fascin levels and induces EndMT in human glomerular endothelial cells (HGECs).
