RP11-495P10.1 promotes HCC cell proliferation by regulating reprogramming of glucose metabolism and acetylation of the NR4A3 promoter via the PDK1/PDH axis
In this study, we discover that RP11-495P10.1 regulates glycometabolism reprogramming by changing the expression of pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 1 (PDK1) and pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDH), thus contributing to the proliferation of HCC cells. Furthermore, knockdown of RP11-495P10.1 increases enrichment of H3K27Ac in the promoter of NR4A3 by promoting the activity of PDH and the production of acetyl-CoA, which leads to the increased transcription of NR4A3. Altogether, RP11-495P10.1 promotes HCC cell proliferation by regulating the reprogramming of glucose metabolism and acetylation of the NR4A3 promoter via the PDK1/PDH axis...

< em > Cryptococcus gattii < /em > strains with a high phagocytosis phenotype by macrophages display high pathogenicity at the early stage of infection < em > in vivo < /em >
In this study, a series of in vitro and in vivo experiments were conducted to investigate the interaction between macrophages and Cg. Flow cytometry was used to detect the phagocytic phenotypes of the Cg strains within macrophages. Scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and immunofluorescence were used to observe phagocytosis and proliferation, respectively. Survival and lung fungal burden tests were also performed. Our results show that Cg cells display different phagocytosis phenotypes, which are independent of the molecular type. Within macrophages, the high phagocytosis phenotype (HP) strains o...

The role of noncoding RNAs in the tumor microenvironment of hepatocellular carcinoma
Acta Biochim Biophys Sin (Shanghai). 2023 Oct 23. doi: 10.3724/abbs.2023231. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTHepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the leading fatal malignancy worldwide. The tumor microenvironment (TME) can affect the survival, proliferation, migration, and even dormancy of cancer cells. Hypoxia is an important component of the TME, and hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) is the most important transcriptional regulator. Noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs), including microRNAs (miRNAs), long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), and circular RNAs (circRNAs), comprise a large part of the human transcriptome and play an important role ...

NF- κB downstream miR-1262 disturbs colon cancer cell malignant behaviors by targeting FGFR1
In this study, deregulated miRNAs that could play a role in colon cancer are analyzed and investigated for specific functions in vitro using cancer cells and in vivo using a subcutaneous xenograft model. miRNA downstream targets are analyzed, and predicted binding and regulation are verified. miR-1262, an antitumor miRNA, is downregulated in colon cancer tissue samples and cell lines. miR-1262 overexpression suppresses colon cancer malignant behaviors in vitro and tumor development and metastasis in a subcutaneous xenograft model and a lung metastasis mouse model in vivo. miR-1262 directly targets fibroblast growth factor ...
