Kaiser Rad Onc Jobs
Does anyone have experience with Kaiser Rad Onc jobs? What is it like in terms of compensation, W/L balance, workload, job satisfaction, etc? How would it compare to a similar hospital-employed position? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

How to avoid scam in GP jobs
Hello this thread is for GPs to raise awareness among them against scam jobs; this thread will be obviously severely attacked by some DSOs, owners and specialists who try to make the GP a cheap, ugly, limited and by all means not rewarding job. This behavior in my opinion has been linked to some of the suicidal cases that I have heard about and knew myself and so please GPs this is a big deal. In fact, I really belive that there should be an organization for GPs only to defend their rights... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Dentist or Pilot?
Hi, I am currently a pre-dental in one of the accelerated programs and should be moving onto dental school this coming fall. During summer break, I wanted to try out becoming a pilot as it was one of my career choices when I was a kid. So, I am currently working on my private license along with school. According to my google searches, there is a shortage in pilots in the US, but I see one, sometimes two, dental offices in every mall strip in my hometown. Both jobs are 7 out of 10 in terms... Updated Kaiser Southern California (2022) thread
With the private practice job market on fire recently, how have things changed at the Socal Kaisers to keep up? For one thing, per diems are now making 250/hr. Any improvements for associates and partners? I hear that comparable private practice jobs in the area are reaching $300+ hourly rate with no benefits. To translate that to a salary, working 50 hours per week on average with 8 weeks vacation would net you 660k without benefits. Is that better than what kaiser partners are making... Perio doing all extractions in some DSOs
I have being having jobs interviews where the DSO does not want the GP to do any extraction or implants; all go to perio including simple ones; it looks very suspicious to say the least. I am an international prosthodontist just got my US DDS, but I used to do all my extractions and implants (except the ones that can open the sinus or injure the IAN). Worked with perio and OS but never referred tough extractions to perio all to OS since they are trained on doing such extractions and more... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Thoughts on this job offer?
Hi all, Current DR resident (third year). I have received a very enticing job offer - but was wondering if I could et thoughts from somebody who knows more about the current job market than me. The job would be 7 day, 14 off. 12pm - 10 pm on weekdays, 8a-5p weekends. pay is around 350/hour. Volume is reasonable (or so they say). The pay per hour seems very reasonable from what I've seen/heard from other jobs in my area, but these are more traditional 8-5 jobs. My main question is if...
