A thrombocyt ák szerepe a reprodukcióban

Beyond these classic functions, the controlled activation of platelets is required in reproduction and immune response. In this review, we attempt to summarize the most important roles of thrombocytes in reproduction. The most recent studies of thrombocyte research provide remarkable insights into the physiological and clinical importance of this cellular fragment. We have summarized the key findings we have taken from the relevant literature - includ...

Assisted Reproduction in Patients with Cardiac Disease: A Retrospective Review
The National Library of Medicine defines Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) as “any clinical and laboratory techniques used to enhance fertility.” This includes ovulation induction using hormonal therapy; in vitro fertilisation where sperm and egg are combined in-vitro and an embryo is transferred to the uterus; or in-uterine insemination where sperm are injected into the uterus at the time of ovulation. While risks of pregnancy in patients with cardiac disease are well described, the risks of ART in these patients remain largely unreported. Embryo selection through non-invasive preimplantation genetic testing with cell-free DNA in spent culture media: a protocol for a multicentre, double-blind, randomised controlled trial
Introduction Morphological evaluation is used to select embryos for in vitro fertilisation. However, it does not fully reflect the implantation potential. Preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies (PGT-A) can detect embryonic aneuploidy, but biopsy procedure is invasive. Currently, a non-invasive PGT (ni-PGT) approach using spent medium is being evaluated. However, the clinical benefit of ni-PGT has not been clearly demonstrated. A multicentre randomised trial is needed to verify whether ni-PGT can be an new effective tool for evaluating embryos. Methods and analysis Overall, 1148 couples aged 35~42 (women) receivi...

Letrozole Supplementation and the Increased Risk of Elevated Progesterone Levels on Trigger Day
The objective of this study was to investigate whether progesterone levels increased under antagonist protocols supplemented with LE on the trigger day using a retrospective cohort study. The study included 1,133 women who underwent IVF/ICSI cycles from January 2018 to June 2020. After propensity score matching (PSM) for baseline characteristics, 266 patients with gonadotropin-releasing hormone-antagonist (GnRH-ant) were matched to 266 patients with letrozole + GnRH-ant (LE GnRH-ant) (PSM 1 cohort), and 283 patients with gonadotropin-releasing hormone-agonist (GnRH-a) were matched to 283 patients with LE GnRH-ant (PSM 2 co...

Development of hypertensive complications in oocyte donation pregnancy: protocol for a systematic review and individual participant data meta-analysis (DONOR IPD)
Introduction The assisted reproductive technique of oocyte donation (OD) is comparable to in vitro fertilisation (IVF), with the distinction of using a donated oocyte and thus involving two women. Compared with IVF and naturally conceived (NC) pregnancies, OD pregnancies have a higher risk for pregnancy complications as pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) and pre-eclampsia (PE). Various covariates among women pregnant by OD, however, also contribute to an increased risk for developing hypertensive complications. Therefore, we will conduct the DONation of Oocytes in Reproduction individual participant data (DONOR IPD) meta...

Individual participant data meta-analysis of trials comparing frozen versus fresh embryo transfer strategy (INFORM): a protocol
Introduction Existing randomised controlled trials (RCTs) comparing a freeze-all embryo transfer strategy and a fresh embryo transfer strategy have shown conflicting results. A freeze-all or a fresh transfer policy may be preferable for some couples undergoing in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), but it is unclear which couples would benefit most from each policy, how and under which protocols. Therefore, we plan a systematic review and individual participant data meta-analysis of RCTs comparing a freeze-all and a fresh transfer policy. Methods and analysis We will search electronic databases (Medline, Embase, PsycINFO and CENTR...

Vaginal progesterone as luteal phase support in natural cycle frozen-thawed embryo transfer (ProFET): protocol for a multicentre, open-label, randomised controlled trial
Introduction Vaginal progesterone supplementation is frequently given to patients receiving frozen embryo transfer (FET) in the natural cycle aiming to increase the chance of pregnancy and live birth. To date, only a few studies have investigated if progesterone supplementation is beneficial in these cycles and the level of evidence for progesterone supplementation is very low. Methods and analysis The ProFET trial is a multicentre, open-label, randomised controlled trial powered for this investigation, including 1800 women with regular menstrual cycles (24–35 days), aged 18–43 years planned for natural cycle-...

Peri-implantation glucocorticoid administration for assisted reproductive technology cycles
CONCLUSIONS: Overall, there was insufficient evidence that administration of peri-implantation glucocorticoids in IVF/ICSI cycles influenced clinical outcomes. These findings were limited to the routine use of glucocorticoids in subfertile women undergoing IVF or ICSI.PMID:35771604 | DOI:10.1002/14651858.CD005996.pub4 (Source: Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews)

Methylome-wide analysis of IVF neonates that underwent embryo culture in different media revealed no significant differences
NPJ Genom Med. 2022 Jun 29;7(1):39. doi: 10.1038/s41525-022-00310-3.ABSTRACTA growing number of children born are conceived through in vitro fertilisation (IVF), which has been linked to an increased risk of adverse perinatal outcomes, as well as altered growth profiles and cardiometabolic differences in the resultant individuals. Some of these outcomes have also been shown to be influenced by the use of different IVF culture media and this effect is hypothesised to be mediated epigenetically, e.g. through the methylome. As such, we profiled the umbilical cord blood methylome of IVF neonates that underwent preimplantation ...
