ConclusionThe majority of patient-reported ADRs were non-serious. However, a relevant number of non-labelled even serious ADRs was reported for novel compounds by patients. Despite well-known limitations of patient-reported ADRs, this web-based ADR reporting system contributes to the identification of new ADRs and thus can help to improve patients ’ safety complementing other pharmacovigilance instruments.

Water immersion stress significantly enhanced contractile response in the corpus cavernosum (CC), decreased erectile function, and also upregulated RhoA/Rho kinase pathway in the CC. Fasudil, a Rho kinase inhibitor, improved erectile function. Our findings suggest that RhoA/Rho kinase pathway may be associated with stress-induced erectile dysfunction via contraction of CC. AbstractStress is a risk factor for erectile dysfunction (ED); however, the pathology of stress-induced ED remains unclear. Accordingly, in this study, we investigated the mechanisms of stress-induced ED using a rat model. Ten-week-old male Wistar/ST rat...

This study aimed to investigate the amelioration for cognitive and memory dysfunction of B. superba ethanolic extract (BSE), a possible mechanism of action, and its toxicity. The results from the Y-maze test, novel object recognition test, and passive avoidance test exhibited that the administration of BSE at 50 mg/kg (BSL) and 200 mg/kg (BSH) could ameliorate scopolamine-induced cognitive impairment in all behavior testing. Moreover, BSE could prevent the cognitive deficit in a dose-dependent manner in a passive avoidance test. Furthermore, BSE inhibited acetylcholinesterase's (AChE) ex vivo activity in the cerebral corte...

Over the past decade, there have been several advancements in the technologies available to treatment erectile dysfunction and Peyronie's disease. Vacuum erection devices, penile traction devices, low-intensity extracorporeal shockwave therapy, and penile prosthesis surgery have evolved and are changing the way we treat men ’s health. Although significant improvements have been made, further work is needed to standardize treatment, create universal algorithms for technological applications, and simply their use.

Epub 2021 Oct 19.ABSTRACTEndovascular aortic repair, initially developed for patients at prohibitively high risk for an open repair, has undergone significant technical evolution and refinement and has emerged as the preferred treatment option for patients with an infrarenal aortic aneurysm. However, analysis of long-term data of the randomised studies revealed inferior results with regards to survival and freedom-from-reintervention after eight years. Open aortic repair has been performed for more than seven decades and especially for the younger patients ...
