NEW YORK (AP) — A man who drove off the road in this week’s snowstorm spent 10 hours trapped in his car after a passing plow buried it, finally managing to get a 911 call through and being rescued in the nick of time by a New York state trooper.
Kevin Kresen, 58, of Candor, drove off the road in the town of Owego and became “plowed in by a truck,” state police said.

BOSTON (CBS) — Thirty endangered sea turtles recused from Cape Cod beaches have reached New Orleans after a hiccup in their travel plans over Thanksgiving week. The Kemp’s ridley turtles are at the Audubon Nature Institute’s Coastal Wildlife Network after stopping in Tennessee.
For weeks, the New England Aquarium and the National Marine Life Center cared for turtles, who were suffering from hypothermia and the inability to feed due to cold ocean temperatures, the organizations said.

New England Aquarium Rescues Over 60 Stranded Turtles On Cape Cod Beaches
QUINCY (AP) — The onset of cold weather in New England has led to a surge of cold-stunned turtles becoming stranded on Cape Cod beaches, marine scientists said Thursday.
The New England Aquarium’s sea turtle hospital in Quincy has taken in more than 40 turtles in the last two days alone, a large number in a short period of time. That brings to 66 the number of turtles that have already been treated at the aquarium.
