Metabolomic Analysis of Human Cirrhosis and Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Pilot Study
ConclusionOur findings give promising insides into the metabolic changes during HCC carcinogenesis and provide candidate biomarkers for future studies. Surgical management of renal cell carcinoma with subhepatic inferior vena cava tumor thrombus: a case report and review of the literature

In this study, we focused on the treatment of liver carcinoma (HepG2) and astrocytoma (CCF-STTG1) cells as a model for the target sites of these two metals. We investigated their effects in single and combined exposure on cell survival, cell death mechanisms, bioavailability, and the induction of oxidative stress. The combination of CoCl2 and NiCl2 resulted in higher Co levels with subsequent decreased amount of Ni compared to the individual treatment. The emerging therapies are reshaping the first-line treatment for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma: a systematic review and network meta-analysis
CONCLUSION: Compared with sorafenib and lenvatinib, combination therapies based on ICIs significantly improved the prognosis of advanced HCC and demonstrated similar safety. At the same time, the optimal treatment approach should be tailored to individual patient characteristics, such as etiology, tumor staging, and serum alpha-fetoprotein levels.
