Gastrointestinal Disease: Hemorrhoids
Dr. Kerry Hammond, assistant professor of surgery at the Digestive Disease Center at MUSC, discusses the common problem known as hemorrhoids. She describes what typically causes hemorrhoids to become a problem, and what some of the more common symptoms are. Dr. Hammond outlines a few common treatments that she recommends to patients, as well as what clinical procedures may be used if conservative management is unsuccessful.
