Neuroscience Seminar Series Dr. Soltesz’s lab is interested in how brain cells communicate with each other and how the communication changes after fever-induced seizures in early childhood and after head injury. Their general goal is to understand how neuronal networks function and dysfunction, in order to discover new therapies to prevent epilepsy. Postdoctoral fellows and graduate students in the lab employ a variety of cutting-edge experimental and computational modeling techniques to understand normal and epilepsy-related plasticity in neuronal networks.
