Does Guyana count as Latino?
Hi all, I was looking through the AMCAS and was wondering if having Guyanese heritage qualifies me as Latino? On the AMACAS definition of Latino, it says that any country in South America fits the category. My school (a HYP) also recommends Latino clubs and such if you go into their world finder and say you are Guyanese. However, Guyana is usually classified as a Caribbean country, but I just don't feel comfortable checking off African Americans and then specifying Guyana in the Caribbean...
