Please be honest with me - where do I go from here?
GPA is 3.73 and BPCM is 3.53 with clear upward curve. I was sick my first three semesters of school. Was later dx with chronic illness. I got decent grades B+ but didn't participate in many activities, it was difficult enough just to get good grades and my school just didn't offer much other than sports or Greek life. I just started meds literally when we were sent home for Covid. Went back to campus a year and a half later as a senior and was told that profs weren't looking for seniors for... Sorority on med school apps
im debating whether i should include my sorority in my work/activites section of amcas apps. I did a lot of volunteering and was also mental health chair. Should i list it as leadership or community service? Leave it out all together? I'm afraid adcoms may look down upon greek life. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

personal statement help
is it okay if i write about my sorority experience in my personal statement im in an asian-interest sorority which is not like the stereotypical ones you see in movies, we focus a lot on community service, philanthropy and cultural diversity and through my sorority i've developed leadership positions, organized and hosted events, volunteered in the community and more. i won greek leader of the year from the entire school's department of fraternity and sorority life last year for my work in... WAMC Interesting Story
I was curious about my changes at T20 or perhaps any allopathic med school. Hard Stats: Valedictorian/Salutatorian at HYPSM (shared) 521 MCAT Varsity athlete for freshman sophomore (not a “big time” sport but rather on the preppier side. Don’t know if this will have any effect) Graduated in 2018 and have been working as a middling programmer at various contract gigs since then. Solid ECs, letters I am guessing are also solid. Fluent in Spanish, Italian, Ancient Greek (reading/writing)... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Best choice for diversity essays?
1. Being a founding father of my fraternity, learned to get out of my comfort zone and developed a lot of skills by becoming a leader through greek life. 2. Being a first generation student that helped my extended family and other families as they immigrated from Vietnam 3. Being a committed leader in community service, have multiple leadership positions in service organizations on campus (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Phi Beta Kappa
Hey guys, So apparently Phi Beta Kappa is the nations oldest and most "prestigious" honors society. Word of warning, I know nothing about "greek life". But this sounds interesting, It's an invite only society and i received an invitation, so did 5 other students in my major. Has anyone heard of this society? It completely caught me off guard and i don't know why i was selected to join it. What is selection based on? How will this help me advance my professional career? Thanks guy! The pharmacy job market has long been dead
All of you guys considering going into pharmacy I sincerely want to warn you of the job outlook. I completed a PGY2 pharmacy residency last year and then applied for every pharmacy position I could find in the lower 48 states for 12 months. Not one hospital or retail pharmacy has contacted me for an interview. I have a bachelor of science undergrad degree with a 3.7 GPA. My pharmacy school GPA was 4.0. I was a member of two Greek clubs while in pharmacy school. I had two years of paid... The pharmacy job market has long been dead (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Is taking Gen bio 1 and gen chem 1 at the same time too much?
I’m going to be an incoming college freshman and I’m dorming. Next semester I will be taking Gen bio and gen chem at the same time. I will only be taking one lab and the other classes that I have are creative writing, intro to psych, freshman seminar and Greek myths/Roman west art. This is about 16-17 credits in total. However, as a senior in high school I took AP Bio and AP chem at the same time so I do have some insight on both subjects. Should I drop something? Is it too much? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
