Purine salvage promotes treatment resistance in H3K27M-mutant diffuse midline glioma
ConclusionsOur results indicate that DMG-H3K27M cells rely on highly active purine synthesis, both from thede novo and salvage synthesis pathways. However, highly active salvage of free purine bases into mature guanylates can bypass inhibition of thede novo synthetic pathway. We conclude that inhibiting purine salvage may be a promising strategy to overcome treatment resistance in DMG-H3K27M tumors. (Source: Cancer and Metabolism)

SIRPB1 regulates inflammatory factor expression in the glioma microenvironment via SYK: functional and bioinformatics insights
SIRPB1 expression is upregulated in various tumor types, including gliomas, and is known to contribute to tumor progression; nevertheless, its function in the immune milieu of gliomas is still mainly unknown. (Source: Journal of Translational Medicine)

Effect of memory therapy on enhancing postoperative cognitive function recovery and alleviating mood disturbances in brain glioma patients
CONCLUSION: Memory therapy has been shown to promote postoperative cognitive function recovery in glioma patients, reduce anxiety and stress response, bolster coping mechanisms and health-promoting behavior, diminish cancer-related fatigue, and improve patient prognosis.PMID:38586107 | PMC:PMC10994802 | DOI:10.62347/UUTB6644 (Source: American Journal of Translational Research)

Abnormal expression of long non ‑coding RNA LINC01270 in glioma and its correlation with X‑ray computed tomography signs
This study focused on the association of LINC01270 and computed tomography (CT) signs with glioma development, to evaluate their potential in the early detection of glioma. Serum LINC01270 was evaluated in glioma patients and healthy individuals using PCR. The involvement of LINC01270 in glioma onset and development was evaluated by ROC and chi‑square test. The association of LINC01270 with the CT signs and their combined effects in the diagnosis in glioma were also estimated. Serum LINC01270 was significantly elevated in glioma patients, which was closely associated with patients' advanced WHO grades and lower KPS. Both...
