Radioprotective effect of Ginkgolide B on brain: The mediating role of DCC/MST1 signaling
CONCLUSION: Oxidative stress and MST1-mediated neuronal apoptosis participated in radiation-induced cognitive impairment and depression-like behaviors, and modulation of DCC by GB was an effective intervention against RBI.PMID:37934907 | DOI:10.1080/09553002.2023.2281515 (Source: International Journal of Radiation Biology)

Genome-wide identification of the Pinus tabuliformis CONSTANS-like gene family and their potential roles in reproductive cone development
Int J Biol Macromol. 2023 Oct 25:127621. doi: 10.1016/j.ijbiomac.2023.127621. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe CONSTANS-like (COL) genes, as a core transcription factor in the photoperiod regulation pathway, play a key role in plant reproduction development. However, their molecular characterization has rarely been studied in Pinus tabuliformis. Here, 10 PtCOL genes were identified in the P. tabuliformis genome and multiple sequence alignments have indicated that the PtCOL proteins contained highly conserved B-BOX1 and CCT domains. Sequence similarity analysis showed that PtCOL1 and PtCOL3 had the higher similarity with N...

Modeling the Antiviral Activity of Ginkgo Biloba Polyphenols Against Variola: In Silico Exploration of Inhibitory Candidates for Vartmpk and Hsstmpk Enzymes
CONCLUSION: Based on the obtained scores and Lipinski's rules, Liquiritin, Olivil, and ginkgolic acids molecules showed interesting results for both studied enzymes, indicating the existence of promising and moderate activity of these polyphenols for the treatment of variola and for possible multi-targeting. Liquiritin has been shown to exhibit anti-inflammatory effects on various inflammation- related diseases such as skin injury, hepatic inflammatory injury, and rheumatoid arthritis. Olivil has been shown to have antioxidant activity. Olivil derivatives have also been studied for their potential use as anticancer agents....
