TMDSAS: How do I write a description of a teaching assistant without sounding corny? ESL, so I struggle with articulating my words
Here is my draft, any suggestions are appreciated : I assisted 34 pre-health students with their psychology coursework. I also provided additional support to struggling students who are non-native English speakers. In addition to helping students improve their grades, I also gained insight into the fruits of flexibility in my leadership qualities. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Am I in the Wrong Field?
I’m an R1 who is really struggling in radiology. I had lower step 1 scores to begin with, and feel like I’m falling even further behind my coresidents. I try to study every day but am having difficulty concentrating and retaining information. I get very anxious when asked questions by attendings and on case conferences and almost always give the wrong answers even though everyone else seems to get everything right. I’m so tired of struggling through studying only to not see any fruits of my... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Dietary advice needed
It demonstrates that people should try to consume: lots of potatoes, bread, rice, pasta, and other higher fibre starchy carbohydrates; at least five portions of a variety of fruits and vegetables; some beans, pulses, fish, eggs, meat, and other proteins; some dairy products or substitutes; and only small amounts of food and beverages that are high in fat and sugar. It is based on the five food groups and illustrates how much of each food category should be included in a healthy and... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

I am a first generation student having 6 other siblings (5th child) and parents are fruit harvesters for a living. Anybody tried working with a "Robo-advisor"?
Hey, one of my good friends was telling me all about his financial advisor who is helping him get things in order and get ready for retirement and I was very excited to check it out, however after looking at the website I can see it's one of those financial planning firms that makes its money by directing you into funds with fees that eat up all the potential profit. I'm not going to give all the fruits of my labor to some dude In an office, but I'd still like to get some expert advice, and... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Everything's been such a whirlwind. And now, you've found yourself in a new place to call home. Your grandfather's farm, overgrown, with only a decrepit greenhouse and a tiny house for you. And yet, you see endless possibilities. You could be very happy here. Your eyes sparkle as you imagine the farm after some hard work and elbow grease. Fields of crops, barns of animals, trees bearing fruit instead of just dropping acorns and pine cones everywhere. It's a big change from the city... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Brief Emotional-Behavioral Assessment 96127
My understanding is this can be submitted for reviewing and documenting results of the PHQ-9 and GAD-7. And submitted for each assessment. Even for the columbia suicide screen. Have others used this yet or learned anything about its documentation needs in order to submit? Low lying fruit, but I do like to get paid for the work I do. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Pharmacist Diet Thread
Title says it all...just curious what others are doing...there's just so many factors to consider (personal health, climate/weather, costs, macronutrient/kcal goals, micronutrient goals, vitamin/mineral goals, food volume, variety in food groups consumed/balance, equipment, digestion, etc.) Thinking of refining my diet with more emphasis on frugality and environment (plan on investing in an air fryer)...mostly frozen fruits and vegetables with fish (budget versions of oysters and salmon... Pretend you are an ADCOM member interviewing an applicant. What bizarre question would you ask the interviewee to see how they react?
I'd ask "If I shrunk you down to the size of an ant, put you in a blender with fruits and vegetables with a straw in the middle of the blender but it smells like somebody has already used this straw and you can only hear Taylor Swift music I'm blasting in the room, how would you get out of the blender using your favorite glycolytic enzyme only?" Top Heme/Onc Journals?
Hi all, I was wondering if you would be able to list some top journals in the oncology field with particular focus on solid-tumor oncology. I'm a student and interested in reading some of the latest findings in oncology basic science research and figured this would be the best place to ask. I've heard Blood for hematology and hematological malignancies, are there similar journals for solid tumor oncology? Is Cancer Research one of them? Would greatly appreciate your insights! NPO guidelines and liquids. Which ones are considered clear?
I realize that NPO guidelines are not necessarily based on scientific evidence but how would you treat liquids like orange juice without pulp? Is that considered ‘clear’? The ASA states that fruit juices without pulp are considered ‘clear’ but I have always thought that to include stuff like apple juice. What if its orange juice WITH pulp? Obviously not considered clear but how long would you wait? 4hours? 6 hours? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
