Applying for ST1 in Obs and Gynae
Hi everyone,
So I'm hoping to apply for ST1 in Obstetrics and Gynaecology this year, currently nearing the end of FY2. I was wondering if I could get some advice from those who have gone through the process and if they have any tips? I've had a look through the entry requirements but just wanted to know if anyone can offer some tips especially those who have applied/working in London deaneries?

DAMS Delhi not satisfied
I joined DAMS in the October 2014 batch,
with the hope that by joining early the
course will be completed well in time before
upcoming May exams. The batch was
started on 19 th October 2014, with only 1.5
classes every week ( Saturday half day, and
Sunday full day). By the end of December
only four subjects were covered during
which just 2-3 classes per week were taken.
Then came January when the classes were
increased to 3-4 per week. And now in
march they are scheduling classes almost
every day on the name of completing the
syllabus and more importantly to free the
space for new batches.

Starting FY1 17 weeks pregnant
Hi,
I've passed my finals and got the FY1 and last week I found out I was pregnant. My husband and I are over the moon as we've been wanting to start a family for a couple of years now (I'm a mature student). But now I don't know whether I should inform my Foundation School beforehand or not.
Ideally I would like to do my first rotation and go on maternity leave for about 7 months, which would take me to August next year. When starting my first rotation I would be 17 weeks and according to the law I have to inform the employer by 24th week.
What are people's thoughts on this? Do you think the foundation school would ...

A levels biology
Can somebody please tell me how it is with the weightage and marking of the paper. I just gave my AS level biology p2 and I pretty much messed up A LOT. Is there any way I can get a minimum B in my AS considering I score better in p1 and p3? Please help.

I'm applying for graduate entry medicine this year for the first time and doing the gamsat so am prepping as we speak. I come from a science background, having done biology and chem a levels and a biomedical science degree although section 3 is what im having trouble with and hoping someone could answer my questions! Soldier to doctor- can it be done?
Hi everyone,
I am here to seek advise/guidance or anything from anyone that's been through similar obstacles in pursuit of their ambitions in becoming a doctor.
So a bit about me, I served in the UK Army for 10 years and served overseas on 3 separate occasions and during these tours was used as a team medic as well as my normal role.(not to be confused with a full time army medic). I did however have the opportunity to deal first hand with real trauma situations on a unfortunately frequent basis.
Very early on i realised that a career in medicine is what i truly wanted to do with my life hence my journey now begins.
