Unconventional Extracirriculars
Hi all, I am applying this cycle 2018-2019. I want to know if my extracurricular activities are considered inadequate or unconventional? When I apply in June, 2018, I’ll have: A. The unconventional part (1) 7 years as a Cub Scout leader. I directly work with 7-10 kids and manage a pack of 30-50 kids and 3-7 other adult volunteers (other leaders). (2) 6 years working experience in the veterinary field (as a vet assistant, technologist and manager). I got my state license as a vet tech in... Anybody else in the same boat?
Anybody else a pre-med at a small liberal arts college that is sick of feeling like they are in a bubble? I feel like I am the only person that wants to learn more than they are taught in their courses. I guess I'm just really sick of feeling like a big fish in a small pond when I know that there is so much more I need to learn before I become a physician. My pre-med peers get so hung up on course work that they don't grasp the inefficiencies and inequalities of the current healthcare... Anybody else in the same boat? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

HELP: Should I transfer? What should I do...
I'm currently a freshman just about to finish my first semester at a medium-large state school. I'm a psych major and on the pre-med track, but the school I'm at is considered to some as a "safety" school and a "party school" even though it isn't a community college. I'm having an internal conflict right now: I'm not sure if I should transfer to another higher-tiered college, or if I should stay here and be in a sense "the big fish in small pond"... I went to a pretty competitive and... HELP: Should I transfer? What should I do... (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Much Ado Re: Irma
As the title says: Ms Irma is making a visit here. She's like the ugly, old bat Aunt that smells like dead fish lavender and won't go away stay. My MCAT was scheduled for this past Sat; I showed up, having just gotten a 512 on FL 2 (insert some sort of here) the night before, thinking, "I GOT THIS @#$!" only to find out that the elevators weren't working because... nothing was working. Power was out, transformer had blown. Test was... Much Ado Re: Irma (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Anatomy Practicals
Hi folks, I am a podiatry student but since that thread is deader than my gold fish , and our labs are similar I had a question: How do you guys identify structures in practicals. Like the different parts of the intestines (jejuneum, ileum, duodenum, etc)? They all look so similar. (Source: Student Doctor Network)
