Olympus inks distro deal for MI Tech ’ s Hanarostent
Olympus (TYO:7733) said yesterday it inked an exclusive deal to distribute M.I. Tech’s Hanarostent self-expanding metal stents.
The deal includes both the FDA 510(k) cleared Hanarostent biliary and Hanarostent esophagus stents, Tokyo-based Olympus said, and marks the first of multiple self-expanding metal stents the company will include in its EndoTherapy portfolio.

Auris Health, previously known as Auris Surgical Robotics, said today it inked a cooperative development and commercialization deal with Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) division Ethicon’s NeuWave Medical subsidiary looking to develop systems for the robotically-assisted bronchoscopic ablation of lung lesions.

Single-Use Spray Takes Aim at GI Bleeds
Cook Medical has been focused on finding an easier way to treat patients suffering from gastrointestinal bleeds. For nearly 10 years the Bloomington IN-based company has been developing the Hemospray, a powder like device that has just received a nod from FDA.
