Cancers, Vol. 16, Pages 1159: Biomarkers in the Diagnosis of Endometrial Precancers. Molecular Characteristics, Candidate Immunohistochemical Markers, and Promising Results of Three-Marker Panel: Current Status and Future Directions
Hao Chen Endometrial carcinoma stands as the most prevalent gynecological cancer and the fourth most common cancer affecting women. The incidence of endometrial cancer has been steadily increasing over the past decade, posing a significant threat to public health. The early detection of its precancers remains a critical and evolving concern to reduce mortality associated with endometrial carcinoma. In the last decade, our understanding of endometrial carcinoma and its precancers has advanced through systematic investigations into the molecular genetics of endometrial carcinoma and its precancers. In this review, we fo...

Immunohistochemical p16 overexpression and Rb loss correlate with high-risk human papillomavirus infection in endocervical adenocarcinomas
CONCLUSIONS: The results suggest that the combined use of p16 and Rb IHC could be a reliable method to predict HR-HPV infection in primary ECAs and mimics. This finding may contribute to prognostic prediction and therapeutic strategy.PMID:38445509 | DOI:10.1111/his.15169 (Source: Cancer Control)

Case Report on Endometriosis Associated Peritoneal Endometrioid Carcinoma
We report a case of 43 years female with chief complaints of menorrhagia, dysmenorrhoea and dyspareunia. Her imaging revealed an endometriotic cyst of in left ovary al ong with iso to hyperechoic nodular area seen in right iliac fossa. Laparoscopic exploration validated it to be a case of grade IV endometriosis along with presence of peritoneal nodule of 5.5 × 4.5 cm in right iliac fossa. The peritoneal nodular lesion was removed with en bloc wide local exci sion with clinically disease-free margin. Histopathology report of peritoneal nodule shows endometrioid adenocarcinoma. Complete surgical staging for peritoneal...

Cancers, Vol. 16, Pages 136: Genomic Landscape of Endometrial, Ovarian, and Cervical Cancers in Japan from the Database in the Center for Cancer Genomics and Advanced Therapeutics
This study aimed to comprehensively clarify the genomic landscape and its association with tumor mutational burden-high (TMB-H, ≥10 mut/Mb) and microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) in endometrial, cervical, and ovarian cancers. We obtained genomic datasets of a comprehensive genomic profiling test, FoundationOne® CDx, with clinical information using the “Center for Cancer Genomics and Advanced Therapeutics” (C-CAT) database in Japan. Patients can undergo the tests only after standardized treatments under universal health insurance coverage. Endometrial cancers were char...

Hysteroscopy and weight loss in treatment of endometrial cancer: case report and literature review
We report the case of a young obese woman with a body mass index (BMI) of 46.6 kg/m2, diagnosed with grade 2 endometrial endometrioid adenocarcinoma, who underwent a combined fertility-sparing treatment with hysteroscopic resection followed by insertion of a levonorgestrel intrauterine system. After twelve months of failure to achieve a complete response, bariatric surgery was proposed to lose weight and improve the response to treatment. Histologic regression was achieved three months after surgery, with a weight loss of 30 kg and fifteen months after combined treatment of endometrial cancer. We reviewed the literature to...
