Seriously Looking at 700k-1M TC this year
Two verbal offers rn, possibly another one in the making...
With all the economic downturn and recession talk, I plan to take them all and work til late nights and maybe also weekends. I will just pretend I am still in school taking a full course load, but each week getting paid 10k after-tax for my effort. In 2-3 years, I will have ~1M cash saved & invested, then I can gradually phase out and get back to a new norm. I guess fat FIRE is achievable after all lol. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Effect of banking crisis and economic downturn on rads job market?
With all the tech layoffs, high inflation, SVB collapse and possible impending downfall of more banks, it looks like the economy will be in a rough shape for at least a couple years. Nobody can predict the future but what would be your guesses on how this would affect the rads job market, particularly for trainees who will be looking for a job in 2-3 years? My fear would be a situation like in 2012/13 when some people had to do multiple fellowships just to find a job. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Do Economic Recessions Affect Availability of Residency Spots?
Curious if anyone that went through the match process back in the Global Financial Crisis 2007-2009 remembers if there were suddenly a lack of available spots? Or If Residency programs in general got shutdown due to the financial situation?
