personal statement- too much information?
Hi everyone! I'm really stuck on the amount of information I should provide on my personal statement - I definitely want to talk about my experience with raising my baby cousin after my aunt passed away as well as how being a preschool teacher and working with a kiddo with Down syndrome helped shape my love and interest for OT. I'm seeing a ton of different examples of personal statements, some are way longer than others, and I don't know exactly how much I should talk about my past... personal statement- too much information? Therapeutic riding center - clinical volunteering?
I'd be volunteering with children with developmental disabilities such as autism, down syndrome, etc. at a therapeutic riding center. I'd be directly aiding them brush horses and ride. Would this count as clinical volunteering? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Best specialty to work with Children with Disabilties?
Hello! Long time creeper, first time poster. Not really sure if I'm posting this in the right place. I know I have a long way to go before I need to worry about specialties and all that but I was really just curious?? What is the best route to work with children with disabilities(autism, Down syndrome, etc) ?? I grew up around the population (mother and sister are bother special Ed teachers) so it's something I'm really interested in. So what specialty works most closely with these groups?...
