Familial syndromes associated with testicular and paratesticular neoplasms: a comprehensive review
AbstractA syndromic association between a subset of testicular/paratesticular neoplasms is well established. Such examples include Carney complex and large cell calcifying Sertoli cell tumor, Peutz-Jeghers syndrome and intratubular large cell hyalinizing Sertoli cell neoplasia, and VHL syndrome and clear cell papillary cystadenoma of the epididymis. However, recent studies proposed potential novel links between some testicular and paratesticular neoplasms with certain tumor syndromes. While more studies are still needed to solidify these associations, recent research suggests that a subset of Leydig cell tumors may arise in...

Cancers, Vol. 16, Pages 1446: Ovarian Causes of Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP) & mdash;A Literature Review
Conclusions. In our study, we aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the ovarian causes of pseudomyxoma peritonei, including its epidemiology, imagery characteristics, symptoms, current treatment, and promising future therapies, in the hopes of finding feasible solutions, as a lack of understanding of this mucus-secreting malignant disease increases the risk of delayed diagnosis or uncontrolled deterioration. Oncocytic papillary cystadenoma of the larynx: a case report
ConclusionEctopic minor salivary gland tumors, both benign and malignant, should be taken into consideration as potential differential diagnosis for any swelling arising within the upper digestive tract mucosa. Ears, nose, and throat clinical examination completed by videolaryngoscopy can easily point out the location of the mass. Imaging is mandatory for differential diagnosis and for surgical planning. Surgical excision can provide both diagnosis and definitive cure. (Source: Journal of Medical Case Reports)

Correlation between plasma PSGL ‐1 and FIGO stage, tumor metastasis, and survival in epithelial ovarian cancer
AbstractPlasma circulating P-selectin glycoprotein ligand-1 (PSGL-1) levels and its clinical correlation in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) are unknown. The study determined plasma PSGL-1 levels in EOC patients and investigated its relationship with clinicopathological factors and prognosis. Plasma PSGL-1 levels were measured using ELISA in 69 patients with EOC, 34 patients with benign ovarian cystadenoma, and 36 healthy controls. Subsequently, the relationship between PSGL-1 levels and clinicopathological characteristics of patients, as well as the prognosis of EOC patients, was examined. Additionally, the s...

Benign Brenner tumor of the ovary: two-dimensional and contrast-enhanced ultrasound features —a retrospective study from a single center
ConclusionsBBT can show ovarian cystic, mixed cystic and solid type, and solid echo in 2D ultrasound. Unilateral ovarian fibrosis with punctate calcification is an important feature of BBT in 2D ultrasound. However, for solid adnexal masses and mixed cystic and solid masses with unclear diagnosis, if CEUS shows isoenhancement or hyperenhancement, the possibility of BBT cannot be excluded. Revisiting the performance of cyst fluid carcinoembryonic antigen as a diagnostic marker for pancreatic mucinous cysts: a comprehensive 20-year institutional review
Conclusion Cyst fluid CEA continues to be a useful test in the diagnosis of mucinous pancreatic cysts but does not appear as specific as previously reported. Raising the CEA threshold to 250 ng/mL to maintain specificity for differentiating mucinous from non-mucinous cysts may be considered. (Source: Gut)

CK7+/CK20+/CDX2+ mucinous carcinoma, arising in a mature cystic teratoma of ovary, presenting with disseminated metastasis and pseudomyxoma peritonei
In this report, we have described a case of a well-differentiated mucinous carcinoma arising within a mature cystic teratoma. The mucinous carcinoma showed a spectrum of morphological patterns, including cystadenoma-like areas, proliferative/borderline areas, villous adenoma-like areas, and areas of invasive carcinoma. In addition, our case showed some unusual findings, namely, diffuse CK7 positivity, associated pseudomyxoma peritonei, and metastasis to lungs. These features were not demonstrated in any of the previously reported cases. Our case shows that the teratomatous mucinous neoplasm of the ovary may show CK7+/CK20+...
