Case: Esophageal Cancer with weird nodes
Hello! I have a case for you and looking forward to hearing your input. Male patient in his sixties, known history of tobacco use. Now presents with swallowing difficulties and is diagnosed with a cT3 G3 SCC of the thoracic esophagus. No immediate regional nodes affected, but two findings on PET-CT: one node in the uppermost mediastinum (almost SCV) and a few other nodes grouped together in the coeliac region. The first biopsy of the tumor was negative and compliance was an issue, so it... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

borderline pancreas volumes
Wondering how people are doing volumes in BR pancreas when using conventional chemorads. The recently published Preopanc trial based volumes strictly off of gross disease, albeit using a different dose schema. On the other hand, we've historically treated a large volume with ENI from above the celiac down to L2 and into the porta, including the para-aortic, portal venous, celiac, and SMA in the case of head tumors. Based strictly on tolerability, I suspect more people complete the more... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Celiac Disease: recheck antibodies after successful treatment?
If you diagnose an antibody-positive Celiac disease, treat it (with just a gluten free diet), patient returns in 6 months feeling a lot better (essentially asymptomatic, all other deficiencies resolved) . . . .do you recheck the celiac antibodies? (anti transglutaminase, anti gliadin etc). Why would you? [It was suggested to me that they should be rechecked, to 'confirm' that your intervention, the glutenfree diet, worked. But cant you just assume that clinically if the patient is now... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Are there any I/O Psychologists on here?
So, today is the last day of class for my BS in Psychology. Over the past few years, I feel I have realized my strengths and weaknesses. Though I came out wanting to be a clinical psychologist, I know it isn't me. I literally had a year where I would not leave the house because I was worried about getting sick in public (I have celiac disease and have a bit of paranoia about contacting gluten away from restrooms lol.) I know being around the things of which psychologists in clinical settings... Are there any I/O Psychologists on here? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
