Advice on max CC credits (majority through dual enrollment)?
Hi everyone, I just wanted a bit of advice about a weird situation I have! Any advice would be appreciated. I went to an underserved high school where we only had 10 teachers and 9 classrooms with a very unique mission statement where we were pushed to take community college courses through dual enrollment and even had the opportunity to graduate with our Associate Degree concurrently with our high school diploma. We were built inside a community college for that purpose and had a strong... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

I don ’t do anything outside of school really, am I screwed when it’s time to apply for residencies?
TL;DR—end of M2 (core clinical year) at a T20 without much productivity outside of the classroom. Interested in Neuro or IM or FM. I’m most interested in Neuro, IM, FM, or MAYBE anesthesia but I’ve only spent 4 days on that so idk. Anyway, outside of school, I generally just go home and chill. I don’t mean to make this too personal, but at the end of M1 I came out to my mom as gay and it caused a huge stir. She threatened suicide, told me I am a disgrace, and I had to move out pretty... Military lifestyle meant online undergrad degree …is this a show-stopper?
Good afternoon, I just recently got finished with 10 years in the Army. During my time the unit I was assigned to was very busy with either deployments, training, or military schooling that took me out of a traditional classroom setting for my undergrad. Does this matter to adcoms for med school? Feeling a little bit of imposter syndrome even though my cGPA and sGPA are good (3.92, 3.8ish). Any insight is greatly appreciated! Biology Prerequisite
Filling out my secondary applications right now, and 3-4 of the schools I'm applying to specifically ask for 8 semester hours of "general biology". Given that I only have 4 credits from General Biology, despite having about a bajillion hours of genetics, microbio, biochem, environmental science, anatomy, and physiology, should I register for General Biology II this year to meet the prerequisites or should my other biology classes suffice? Which schools prioritize your well-being?
Inevitably, vet school will be super-challenging. Does anyone have insight on which programs care about student emotional and physical well-being the most? Seems like U of A prioritizes this based on their website. Any others? Also, what do you anticipate are average classroom hours and study hour per week in the first two years? Thanks all! Lecture set up
I’m waitlisted for 2 schools this cycle but that was pretty expected as I decided on vet med my senior year of undergrad. Now that I have more time to look further into schools before applying again I was looking to reach out to current students on how lectures are set up. I went to the open house at Virginia Maryland last year and they said that the students stay in the same classroom all day and the professors rotate. Is this a common way of learning in vet school or do other schools have... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)
