My SMP/postbacc options?
Hello everyone,
I want to discuss my options. I am currently a senior majoring in pre-med biology with a minor in chemistry. I am in my last semester and I have had to extend my graduation by two years. My current school GPA is close to 2.5 and I understand this is a low GPA, but there were a lot of things that occurred in my undergraduate career which led to this. I realize I will have to do a SMP to get into a medical school. Despite having a low GPA, my EC are strong with hundreds of...

Started UWorld today in my 2nd week of content review, but when I select certain topics to do questions for, I see topics that I haven ’t studied yet
So basically, I am going about the 100 day SDN MCAT Study Schedule and today is the first day to do Uworld. I’m doing a 59 question block and I just feel so stupid because when I the topics for what I’ve been studying to do questions on, (Amino Acids &Proteins, Cell Biology, Atomic Theory and Chemical Composition, Intro to Orgo, and Mechanics and Energy), I’m met with questions talking about thermodynamic and kinetic stability, blood flow to skin increase during exercise, etc that I have...

May Have Carpal Tunnel...
Hey All!
So I finished up with my Chemistry/Biology degrees and I am working on an MBA while working in a Dental office. I’ve been there almost one year.
A month ago I had my yearly health screening and I mentioned to my doctor some wrist pain I’ve been having. Not to severe but enough to cause me discomfort while assisting on longer procedures. After some initial testing by my PCP she thinks I may have carpal tunnel... I am going to a specialist next month.
I’m scared, nervous, and...

Working another semester as a Chemistry TA
I'm an undergraduate third-year and premed student, and I plan to apply to medical school next year. I worked as a Chemistry 101 TA for a semester, and was wondering if it would be worth continuing for another semester. I do not have a lot of volunteering related to leadership, and was wondering if there would be any benefit to working as a TA for the same class for another semester? (Source: Student Doctor Network)
