Need HELP deciding between SJSU or Cal Poly SLO for premed as a biology student
Pros for SJSU: close to home (can commute ~15 mins away), slightly cheaper tuition, in the center of various hospitals and medical centers (might be too competitive to get a spot) Cons for SJSU: not highly competitive for premed, ranked slightly lower (big fish in small pond?), will have to get a minor in chemistry, maybe too close to home? Pros for SLO: according to their website, "the percentage of Cal Poly students who were accepted to medical school for the entering classes of 2013-2017... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Biology, Chemistry or neuroscience major in college
Hello guys I need some guidance for choosing my major. I have already taken gen bio, gen chem, organic chem and it is almost the time for taking upper level classes and the time I have to choose my major. I waited to take all these classes to decide what I want but I am still confused. I liked bio 1 but not a fan of bio 2 . Gen chem was not bad but not my favorite either. But I loved Organic chemistry 1 and 2 . I know that I would like the bio for human but I don’t like bio for animals and... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Introduction & Should I apply this cycle (2023/2024)
Good evening. I am an international student seeking advice and a realistic opinion about my chances of getting into medical school. Background, I am from Spain, studied in Illinois, and got a bachelor's in Biology (B.S.) and a chemistry minor. I started my bachelor's in 2018 and finished in May 2022. My cumulative GPA is 3.105 and my science is 3.0 I believe. I am aware this is not a competitive GPA, but I have a pretty decent upward trend going from a 2.2 in my first semester to... 2023 DAT Breakdown (25AA/ 28TS/ 20 PAT)
Score: Bio – 25 GC – 30 OC – 30 RC – 19 QR – 19 PAT – 20 TS – 28 AA – 25 Background: Graduated with a 3.97 GPA in Chemistry/ Biochemistry. Materials used: DAT Booster!! I believe Booster is the biggest help. They have all materials you would ever need to achieve a great score! I am sure that I would not be able to get a 25 on the Bio section without Feralis Bio Study Notes. I believe the best way to study Science subjects is continuously practicing...
