"Inorganic chemistry"
Hello! I'm having trouble figuring out if the 'Inorganic Chemistry' prerequisite required by many schools (Washington, Cornell, St. George, Dublin, Edinburgh), is referring to General Chemistry (i've taken both Gen Chem I and II) or a separate upper-level chemistry course. Though I could take Inorganic Chem as an upper-level course, I'd have to take on 6 courses this Fall term and I would rather not lol. So yeah does anyone know if Gen Chem I/II is enough or do I have to take a separate... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Chemical engineer pursing MD
Hi guys, I'm a chemical engineer who have been working in the industry for almost one year now. Although the pay is good, I still feel the lack of fulfillment in my job, so I want to pursue medical school. I felt like my chances are too low so I'm looking for advices. Little bit of background, I used to be a pre-med student but I struggle a lot throughout years, mainly because of the lack of understanding my own desire and learning a new language (my family was immigrants to the US). After... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Am I completely hopeless at science, or am I being overly dramatic?
I've never been good at STEM, but it has never shown up as much as it did in college. I have around a 3.5+ science GPA from a "reputable" T15-T30 university, with the following specific grades. And if I provided the name of where I went to school, you'd think "grade deflation omg" even though that is not an excuse for my terrible performance. General Chemistry - A's in lecture and lab Organic Chemistry - B- in lecture, A in lab Math - B+'s in 3 calculus/statistics classes... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Thinking about medicine:
I am a 26 year old community college student who is trying to figure out what to major in. I met with the career services office at my school not that long ago after taking an aptitude assessment called You Science. The assessment told me that Anesthesiology would be a fair fit and that other specialties were a weak fit. I take this with a grain of salt considering that I just started college for the first time and the only science I have had is an introductory course in Chemistry. I didn’t... Do I even have a chance?
Hello everyone! So I have changed majors quite a few times over my long years in college. I have switched from Network Security to Computer Science before finding my passion in Chemistry where I had earned my first degree. I was in the process of earning my PhD in Chemistry when COVID-19 hit and layoffs occurred (funding dried up and I can't work for free). As I was stuck in a location where I could not use my degree and could not afford to move thanks to student loans, I eventually found... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)
