Vaccinations: More than just kid stuff
Follow me on Twitter @RobShmerling This is the time of year when it’s important to think about flu vaccinations. And there’s good reason for that! The flu causes thousands of preventable hospitalizations and deaths each year. But what about other vaccinations? Do you think of them as something for kids? You aren’t alone. And it’s true, a number of vaccinations are recommended for young children as well as preteens and teenagers. These vaccinations have provided an enormous benefit to public health by preventing diseases that were common and sometimes deadly in the past, including polio, rubella, and whooping cough....

Precision Medicine and Public Health (from Precision Medicine and the Reinvention of Human Disease)
Excerpted fromPrecision Medicine and the Reinvention of Human DiseaseDespite having the most advanced healthcare technology on the planet, life expectancy in the United States is not particularly high. Citizens from most of the European countries and the highly industrialized Asian countries enjoy longer life expectancies than the United States. According to the World Health Organization, the United States ranks 31st among nations, trailing behind Greece, Chile, and Costa Rica, and barely edging out Cuba [42]. Similar rankings are reported by the US Central Intelligence Agency [43]. These findings lead us to infer that acc...

HPV vaccines do not encourage risky sexual behavior
The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines save lives by preventing lethal cervical and anogenital cancers. If Henrietta Lacks had received an HPV vaccine, she would not have succumbed to cervical cancer. Yet not enough young men and women receive the vaccine. An obstacle to more widespread adoption of the HPV vaccine is that some parents […] (Source: virology blog)

How “ they ” view “ us ” : Colton Berrett edition
Colton Berrett developed transverse myelitis at age 13 and as a result was left permanently disabled, with significant paralsysis. Four years later, he died, apparently by suicide. Polly Tommy and the VAXXED crew have been promoting the message that it was Gardasil that caused Colton's disease and therefore killed him. When I explained why Gardasil almost certainly had nothing to do with Colton's disease and death, I learned once again how "they" view "us." Did Gardasil kill Colton Berrett? The answer is almost certainly no.
Colton Barrett was a 17 year old boy who developed acute transverse myelitis at age 13, which left him partially paralyzed and dependent on a portable ventilator. Tragically, he died less than two weeks ago. His mother blames Gardasil, which he received two weeks before his first symptoms appeared, for his neurologic illness and death. However, Gardasil almost certainly had nothing to do with Colton's illness. The post Did Gardasil kill Colton Berrett? The answer is almost certainly no. appeared first on RESPECTFUL INSOLENCE. Good news about the HPV vaccine
Follow me on Twitter @RobShmerling Did you know certain viruses can cause cancer? Two common examples include hepatitis C (which is linked with liver cancer) and human papilloma virus (HPV, which causes cervical cancer). The discovery of these virus-cancer connections is particularly important, because if a vaccine can prevent these viral infections it may also prevent cancer. And there is preliminary evidence that the HPV vaccine is making this happen. More on that in a moment. What is HPV? HPV is a group of viruses that may cause warts (papillomas) and a variety of cancers, including those involving the throat, rectum, ...

Another antivaccine paper bites the dust
This article has been withdrawn at the request of the Editor-in-Chief due to serious concerns regarding the scientific soundness of the article. Review by the Editor-in-Chief and evaluation by outside experts, confirmed that the methodology is seriously flawed, and the claims that the article makes are unjustified. As an international peer-reviewed journal we believe it is our duty to withdraw the article from further circulation, and to notify the community of this issue. Why is it that the University of British Columbia and its Department of Ophthalmology (which is the department where Shaw and Tomljenovic are based) put ...

Baby Foreskin Is Being Used To Make Vaccines
Conclusion Vaccine companies have regularly used blood and body parts from killed cows, dogs, worms, mice, chickens, human babies, monkeys, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, rats, etc., to make these vaccines, so using foreskin from newborn babies may not surprise some. For many, it is appalling. [28] Circumcisions fuel multi-billion dollar industries. If you see neonatal foreskin for sale, which is very easy to find on the internet, remember that these newborn children didn’t consent to being circumcised and they didn’t consent for their foreskin to be sold, used for research purposes, or to be injected into the people ...

More Gardasil fear mongering: A “ critical review ” of HPV vaccination that lacks critical thinking
Antivaxers fear and detest vaccines, but one of the types of vaccines they fear and detest the most is the HPV vaccine, such as Gardasil and Cervarix, which have been blamed for everything from sudden death to premature ovarian failure to autoimmune diseases. A couple of Mexican "researchers" from a cardiology institute try again with a "critical review" of HPV vaccine safety that lacks anything resembling critical thinking. (Source: Respectful Insolence)

Vaccine Ingredients: America ’s Dirty Little Secret
Conclusion The increase in childhood illness must have a cause or trigger. There must be common factors when half of America’s children are chronically ill. Could vaccine ingredients be the causal factor of the increase in childhood illnesses? This question remains unanswered by the CDC. As stated above, many CDC employees have a vested financial interest in continuing to sell and market vaccines. As childhood illnesses continue to increase, logic and reason must be applied to the debate and we must identify common factors. What do American children have in common? The large majority receive vaccines per the CDC schedule...

We have a vaccine for six cancers. Why are less than half of kids getting it?
Early in our careers, few of us imagined a vaccine could one day prevent cancer. Now there is a vaccine that keeps the risk of developing six Human Papillomavirus (HPV)-related cancers at bay, but adoption of it has been slow and surprising low. Although it’s been available for more than a decade, as of 2014 only 40 percent of girls had received the full three doses of the vaccine, while only 22 percent of boys had received all three. That is far lower than the 87 percent vaccination rates for the Tdap vaccine, which prevents tetanus, diptheria and acellular pertussis. Rates of uptake are low in all population groups. So...

2017 update to the immunization schedule for kids
Follow me on Twitter @drClaire Every year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) update the recommendations for immunizing children from birth to 18 years. This past week, the latest changes were published. The changes are usually small, and this year is no exception. But they are important — and they are a sign of how these organizations, and all the scientists who study immunization, take immunization effectiveness and safety very seriously. There is ongoing research to be sure that vaccines do everything we want them to do. As that research is done, discoveri...

Why New Crohn ’s Disease Vaccine is a Mistake
Conclusion Crohn’s disease is a serious disease of the gastrointestinal tract involving inflammation. There is currently no known cause or cure from a conventional medicine perspective, although treatments aim to reduce inflammation and can bring the disease into remission. Holistic approaches address gut dysbiosis, candida and parasites using nutritional supplements, medications and dietary changes. A new vaccine is being developed in England to treat Crohn’s disease by targeting the bacterium MAP found in most Crohn’s patients. The problem with this idea is that MAP has not been shown conclusively to be the cause o...

New Study Warns of the Dangers of Multiple Vaccinations
Conclusion Neil Z. Miller has outlined some extremely alarming facts and the situation could be far worse, with many adverse reactions left unreported. However, despite his efforts, no mainstream media outlet has reported on this factual and evidence-based paper. Facts are facts, and we, at VacTruth, believe that the time has come to put a stop to this madness. We urge parents to send a copy of Miller’s paper to all relevant health and government departments before it is too late. 8 Ways to Safely Take Charge of Your Health While Avoiding Toxic Vaccines
CONCLUSION Conventional medicine has plans to develop more vaccines targeting every disease imaginable. Diseases targeted include diabetes, autoimmune disorders and cancer. Vaccinations have been causally linked to these diseases. No evidence supports that vaccines are safe or effective at preventing any disease. Instead of using more toxic vaccinations to theoretically prevent a disease, we should avoid all vaccines like the plague. We can then focus on leading a healthy lifestyle, by eating a clean, nutrient dense diet, exercising, sleeping and getting lots of sun.   About the Author: Michelle Goldstein is a mental ...
