Fubuki XF Long Sheath guide catheter use in neuroendovascular procedures: Institutional experience in 60 cases
CONCLUSION: We used Fubuki XF to safely and effectively deliver a variety of compatible neuroendovascular devices. Fubuki XF was stable in all cases and locations, and there were no device-related complications or dissections.PMID:38592015 | DOI:10.1177/15910199241245601 (Source: Interventional Neuroradiology)

Prognostic impact of carotid plaque imaging using total plaque area added to SCORE2 in middle-aged subjects: the ARteris Cardiovascular Outcome (ARCO) cohort study
CONCLUSIONS: Integration of TPA post-test risk into SCORE2 adds prognostic information, supporting the use of carotid ultrasound when assessing ASCVD risk in subjects aged 40-65 years.PMID:38579303 | DOI:10.57187/s.3735 (Source: Atherosclerosis)

Fibromuscular dysplasia of the renal arteries: what do we know in 2024?
Nephrol Ther. 2024 Apr 4;20(2):1-9. doi: 10.1684/ndt.2024.70. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTFibromuscular dysplasia (FMD) is a rare nonatherosclerotic, noninflammatory vascular disease affecting mostly renal and carotid arteries and is the second most frequent cause of renal artery stenosis. The symptomatology is dominated by arterial hypertension due to the frequent involvement of the renal arteries and depends on the location of the lesions. Most of the cases are middle-aged women of Caucasian origin. There are two subtypes based on angiographic aspect: multifocal FMD (80% of the cases) and focal FMD (rarer with a more b...

Safety and efficacy of early carotid artery stenting in patients with symptomatic stenosis
CONCLUSION: Early CAS within the high-risk window post-symptom onset is a viable secondary stroke prevention strategy in patients with symptomatic carotid artery stenosis. The procedure rate of complication is acceptable, with a low recurrence of stroke. However, further careful selection of patients for this procedural strategy is crucial to optimize outcomes.PMID:38515363 | DOI:10.1177/15910199241239204 (Source: Interventional Neuroradiology)
