The objective of this study was to prepare a novel tetravalent vaccine to effectively prevent piglet diarrhea caused by E. coli. In order to realize the production of K88ac-K99-ST1-LTB tetravalent inactivated vaccine, the biological characteristics, stability, preservation conditions, and safety of the recombinant strain BL21(DE3) (pXKKSL4) were studied, and the vaccine efficacy and minimum immune dose were measured. Midwife continuity of care models versus other models of care for childbearing women
CONCLUSIONS: Women receiving midwife continuity of care models were less likely to experience a caesarean section and instrumental birth, and may be less likely to experience episiotomy. They were more likely to experience spontaneous vaginal birth and report a positive experience. The certainty of some findings varies due to possible risks of bias, inconsistencies, and imprecision of some estimates. Perioperative echocardiographic strain analysis: what anesthesiologists should know
CONCLUSION: Echocardiographic strain analysis is a powerful tool that allows seeing what conventional 2D imaging sometimes fails to reveal. It often provides pathophysiologic insight into various cardiac diseases at an early stage. Strain analysis is readily feasible and reproducible thanks to the use of highly automated software platforms. Comparison of blood profiles between housed and grazing Korean indigenous cattle (Hanwoo)
The objective of this study was to compare the hematology profiles of Korean indigenous cattle (Hanwoo) raised in a barn (housed) or on pasture (grazing). Our findings showed significant differences in the red blood cell (RBC) profiles of these 2 groups. Exploring differences in substance use behaviours among gender minority and non-gender minority youth: a cross-sectional analysis of the COMPASS study
