Having a challenging localized penile cancer case. I think it might be amenable to brachytherapy.

Hi all,
I have been discussing this question with a family member, so I decided to ask here as you folks are the experts on the matter.
A pregnant female healthcare worker is worried regarding coming in contact with patients undergoing radiation therapy.
What are the safety concerns for pregnant women working with patients undergoing external beam radiation vs brachytherapy vs IV radioactive materials vs any other common modalities?

Standard vs MRI-based brachytherapy question...
I still do standard HDR brachy Point A, point B.
I know this sounds old and historical but the results are great for me.
I have a questions for you guys...
1. How many of you guys do MRI-based brachy?
2. Any data showing MRI is better than standard point A/B?
In other words, MRI will make the isodose better (but higher dose close to the tandem) but:
- any data showing MRI yields better outcome, or is it just showing better isodose and that is it?

Uterine case
58yo female that presents with grade 2 endometrioid carcinoma of the uterus, resected.
Pathology showed >50% myometrial invasion (stage IB), touching the isthmus without signs of invasion, negative LVSI, negative bilateral LND.
What to do next:
1- observe
2- brachytherapy alone
3- EBRT to pelvic LNs alone
4- EBRT followed by brachytherapy

Skin interstitial HDR brachytherapy dose
Hello guys
Lower eyelid BCC case with 1 cm thickness and 2 cm diameter. 2 plastic catheters are implanted 1 cm apart. ABS recommends 30Gy in 10 fractions (BID) in 5 days.

Use of Smit Sleeve in cervix HDR brachytherapy
Hello,
I am currently looking into the use of the Smit sleeve for the insertion of intrauterine applicators in HDR brachytherapy to see if they would be something that our centre would use. We have no practical experience regarding its use.
I have not found much literature discussing its use but I am still continuing with my research. Does anyone have any experience and opinion regarding its use?

Brachytherapy Training Courses for physicians out of residency
I am currently in my last year of residency and the few practices that I am strongly considering joining are willing to send me for 1-2 week long training courses for either permanent seed prostate brachy or HDR brachytherapy after I start practicing.
Does anyone specifically know what centers offer such training courses for physicians out of residency? Also, are their any training courses for modalities other than brachytherapy that anybody would recommend?

hi i have a patient with stage IIb cervical cancer and has underwent subtotal hysterectomy. i have already given her external beam radiotherapy till 46 Gy. kindly advise whether she would benefit from brachytherapy with two ovoids or should i continue the treatment with EXTERNAL beam radiotherapy only till 60 Gy?
