Hiatal Hernia CXR
CXR may depict larger hiatal hernias as an opacity in the posterior mediastinum, often containing air or an air-fluid level. On the frontal view, it causes widening of the inferior third of the azygoesophageal recess and can produce a double contour behind the cardiac silhouette. This is case where hiatal hernia was suspected on CXR and confirmed on CT.Famous Radiology Blog http://www.sumerdoc.blogspot.com
