Shire's B.E.D. symptom checklist, IMHO, is a perfect aid for people who wish to abuse a dangerous Schedule II controlled stimulant. According to my more or less truthful answers to the screener, I may suffer from B.E.D. and be able to convince my doc to prescribe me Vyvanse. I suggested that Shire remove this tool from its website to prevent possible abuse of this medication ("How Virtually Anyone Can Get an Rx for Amphetamine... Most Americans Oppose 21st Century Fast Track Drug Approval
As reported by STATnews (here), "a majority of Americans opposes federal regulatory changes to speed up the development and approval of new medical treatments." This was one result of a new poll of 1,006 randomly selected adults, ages 18 and older, conducted via phone by Stat and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. It seems that $8.3 Bn in worldwide sales of Biogen's MS drug Tecfidera is not enough to satisfy Biogen's investor overlords. For the first quarter of 2016 Tecfidera brought in sales of $744 million.
