Multiple Sclerosis and a Nightlight
Even though we lived in a quiet neighborhood in Seattle, it never seemed to get really dark. Our arborvitae hedge rose over 15 feet in the back garden, but we were only a block from the bus route. A city ball field was only a few short blocks (an easy walk on a good day) which flooded the area in a blue-white light of mercury vapor bulbs. The infamous Seattle cloud cover held, reflected and re-reflected the city’s lights and gave everything a perpetual glow, even on the clearest, moonless nights.

Finally! A Study of a “Generic” MS Med
This study will compare the efficacy of a generic form of Glatiramer Acetate (known as generic Glatiramer Acetate, Synthon BV or “GTR” for short) with the braded Glatiramer Acetate marketed as Copaxone.
I’ve never used Copaxone but know of many people who have been quite happy with their success using this drug.

Multiple Sclerosis Out Of Body Experience
Sometimes MS can do things to our bodies that make us wish we could just check out of them for a little while. Other times, however, I find myself a few feet away and it freaks me out!
It happens most often if I am sitting and typing at my laptop for a while. Not all of the time; not even much of the time. This sensation only comes over me as an MS “thing” is about to happen (or is already underway). I get the sense that I am somehow about six inches behind and about three inches above my body.

Another New Year Without a Cure
2012 has ended and there is no cure for MS yet in the books.
That does not mean that I am not hopeful for the progress that is to be made. I am encouraged by some of the research upon which we reported this past few months. Not all of the research was “positive”, but even research that seems to debunk theories is research in a positive direction; in my opinion.
