Community Health Resilience Tools
The Community Health Resilience Initiative is sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security, the Office of Health Affairs and supported by the Department of Health and Human Services. This public and private sector collaboration has a goal to develop a practical toolkit to strengthen community health resilience. Their website has a wide variety of resources to support community health resilience programs. Currently highlighted are their health resilience tools related to hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Diabetes Prevention Impact Toolkit
The CDC National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) has a Diabetes Prevention Impact Toolkit for states, employers, and insurers to project the health and economic effects of providing a CDC-recognized lifestyle change program on a population at risk for diabetes. NIH to fund Centers of Excellence on Minority Health and Health Disparities
The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities will fund 12 specialized research centers to conduct research, research training, and community engagement activities focused on improving minority health and reducing health disparities.
