A perspective of spatial variability and ecological risks of antibiotics in the agricultural-pastoral ecotone soils in eastern Inner Mongolia
This study investigates the occurrence, distribution and risk of 11 common antibiotics in agricultural soils of the agro-pastoral transition zone in Horqin Left Middle Banner, eastern Inner Mongolia. The total concentration varies from not detectable to 609.62 μg/kg. Tetracyclines are the dominant antibiotic, with a higher detection frequency than Macrolides and Sulfonamides. The detection rates of the three types of antibiotics differ significantly. The study also finds that soil properties (organic matter content, pH, bulk density, clay, cation exchange capacity have no significant correlation with antibiotics in soil. ...

The effects of drug-drug interaction on linezolid pharmacokinetics: A systematic review
ConclusionsThis systematic review found that numerous drugs have an impact on the pharmacokinetics of linezolid, and the purported main mechanism may be that linezolid is the substrate of P-glycoprotein. In clinical practice, it is prudent to pay attention to the changes in linezolid pharmacokinetics caused by interactions. Macrolide antibiotics (including azithromycin) for cystic fibrosis
CONCLUSIONS: Azithromycin therapy is associated with a small but consistent improvement in respiratory function, a decreased risk of exacerbation and longer time to exacerbation at six months; but evidence for treatment efficacy beyond six months remains limited. Azithromycin appears to have a good safety profile (although a weekly dose was associated with more gastrointestinal side effects, which makes it less acceptable for long-term therapy), with a relatively minimal treatment burden for people with CF, and it is inexpensive. A wider concern may be the emergence of macrolide resistance reported in the most recent study...
