Usage of rotational atherectomy and drug-coated balloon angioplasty for isolated popliteal artery lesions: two-year results of a retrospective study
CONCLUSIONS: Endovascular procedures using combined RA and DCB angioplasty seem to be effective alternative treatment modalities for the treatment of popliteal artery lesions with high rates of primary patency and freedom from TLR.PMID:38294176 | DOI:10.1080/00015458.2024.2313266 (Source: Acta Chirurgica Belgica)

Communication interventriculaire compliquant un infarctus de myocarde ant érieur : un cas de fermeture percutanée
CONCLUSION: Percutaneous closure has been emerged as a valid cost-effective alternative to surgery and should be advised. However, debate remains on the optimal preprocedural optimization, timing of repair and modality of treatment.PMID:38262253 | DOI:10.1016/j.ancard.2023.101718 (Source: Annales de Cardiologie et d'Angeiologie)

A propensity score-matched comparative study of balloon guide catheters versus conventional guide catheters for concurrent mechanical thrombectomy with carotid stenting in tandem strokes: comparison of first pass effect, symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage, and 90-day functional outcomes
Conclusion BGCs used for concurrent MT–carotid revascularization with flow arrest were safe and resulted in superior clinical and angiographic outcomes in patients with a tandem stroke. (Source: Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery)

Interventional cardiac catheterization in neonates and premature infants with congenital heart disease: a single center experience
CONCLUSION: Procedure-related complications are higher in the neonatal period. Although the complication rate varies according to the type of procedure, longer fluoroscopy time and procedure duration are associated with an increased complication rate. Procedures performed with the right indications, appropriate equipment and by experienced teams will play a key role in reducing complication rates.PMID:38204308 | DOI:10.24953/turkjped.2022.1064 (Source: The Turkish Journal of Pediatrics)
