Counselling is a way of talking and helping people that explores the things that may be worrying them. It can also help people if they aren’t sure what to do by giving them some time to think through their ideas and choices. Being self-aware and having the capacity to think and feel emotions with clarity and understanding is part of being human and means we rely on more more than instinct to live our lives. Because we have this capacity our thinking and emotions can become intertwined in a way that may be unhelpful.
