More studies needed on mental health treatments during and after pregnancy
(Wiley) Untreated mental health disorders can be a serious problem for women and their children during pregnancy and after giving birth, during the postpartum period. A recent analysis funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and published in Psychiatric Research& Clinical Practice notes that few studies have examined the benefits of medications for mental health disorders in pregnant and postpartum women. 230 Indiana nursing homes signed up for support program during COVID-19 pandemic
(Regenstrief Institute) Nursing homes have been greatly challenged by COVID-19 but often don't know where to look for assistance. The Indiana Nursing Home COVID-19 Action Network (NHCAN) Extension of Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) helps nursing homes improve COVID-19 preparedness, safety and infection control. The 16-week ECHO program provides nursing homes with guidance on implementing best practices in such areas as vaccine delivery, infection control and staffing shortages.
