Recurrent pneumothorax in a human immunodeficiency virus-positive patient with multidrug-resistant tuberculosis: a rare case of bronchopleural fistula:  a case report

ConclusionsComplicated human immunodeficiency virus-related multidrug-resistant tuberculosis is not uncommon in settings of high human immunodeficiency virus/tuberculosis prevalence and is often associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Early diagnosis and treatment of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis, with rigorous monitoring for human immunodeficiency virus-positive individuals, is necessary to prevent debilitating complications.
