City planners approve Jefferson Health's proton therapy project in Torresdale

The Philadelphia Planning Commission on Thursday unanimously approved Jefferson Health's plan to construct a proton therapy center at its Torresdale hospital in Northeast Philadelphia. The commission approval was needed because the project requires an amendment to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital's master plan. That amendment will next need to be approved by City Council.
