Engaging Americans through Outdoor Recreation

The objective of this Agreement is to increase participation by all Americans � especially youth and young adults � in outdoor recreation activities and in the conservation of our public lands. The Agreement builds upon and expands programs and activities carried out in partnership between the National Park Service and the Outdoor Foundation, including but not limited to the Outdoor Nation program begun in 2009 for the purpose of engaging young adults, and provides a partnership framework through which a range of other opportunities to increase and enhance outdoor recreation participation and engagement by Americans of all ages can be developed and implemented. The Recipient is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) foundation established by the Outdoor Industry Association to inspire and grow future generations of outdoor enthusiasts. Its vision is to be a driving force to increase active outdoor recreation in America. This Agreement will continue developing and enhancing an established cooperative relationship between NPS and the Recipient by providing a broad range of programs and projects that seek to advance public purposes consistent with the mission and goals of NPS and the Department of the Interior.
