UnitedHealth's Optum to buy home health care business LHC Group for $5.4 billion

UnitedHealth Group Inc. said Tuesday that it has a deal to buy LHC Group Inc., one of the nation's largest home-health care providers, for $5.4 billion in cash. Minnetonka-based UnitedHealth (NYSE: UNH) said it would pay $170 per share for LHC (NASDAQ: LHCG) and fold the business into its Optum health-services unit.
