Novel lipidomic signature associated with metabolic risk in women with and without polycystic ovary syndrome
CONCLUSIONS: Our data indicate that a distinct lipidomic signature comprising high LPI(18:0) and low DHA-containing lipids are associated with key metabolic risk factors that cluster in PCOS, independent of PCOS status. Prospective studies are needed to corroborate these findings in larger cohorts of women with varying PCOS phenotypes.PMID:34971378 | DOI:10.1210/clinem/dgab931
